RECAPPING ON THE SERIES OF FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN AND THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?

Hello followers,

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!! Dad, daddy, pop, papa, pa, or father. You can call it many names, but it has the same job description.

The term “fathering” means to treat with protective care. It means being involved, behaving responsibly, being emotionally engaged, physically available, providing financial support, and having influence in child raising decisions.

Before the industrial revolution, dads worked side by side with their children and both taught, and lived out, the critical character traits needed for a successful life. Traits such as; honesty, patience, integrity, hard work, and perseverance. Traits that helped build a great nation.

When the industrial revolution showed up, fathers left their farms and headed to the factories. Long workdays and swing shifts set the stage for the absentee father.

Over time, fathers often became regarded as merely breadwinners who fulfilled their paternal duty by providing. Dads made the money and moms did everything else.

That kind of thinking has had a negative effect on the home!

Today in America, 43% of all children live without their father. Ninety percent of all homeless and runaway children, 71% of all pregnant teenagers, 71% of high school dropouts, 75% of adolescent patients in chemical abuse centers, come from fatherless homes.

Fatherless children are twice as likely to drop out of high school, twice as likely to end up in jail, and four times more likely to need help for behavioral problems.

Some people ask, “Are fathers necessary?” The answer is a resounding yes!

The statistics that I just blogged is not to frighten you. Dan and I wanted to show just how important fathers are and for them to take an active role in your child’s life.

– Teach your children.

– Train them.

– Give them good gifts.

– Do not provoke them to anger by the way we treat them.

– Do not aggravate them.

– Discipline them fairly.

When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open up in your life. “When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, ‘It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.’” Matthew 14: 26-27

“Leave everything undefined, including yourself. Befriend uncertainty. Fall in love with mystery. Kneel at the altar of Not Knowing. Give your questions time to breathe. And the answers will find you.” Jeff Foster

QUOTES ABOUT LIVING

FORGIVENESS

Anyone can hold a grudge, but it takes a person with character to forgive. When you forgive, you release yourself from a painful burden.

Forgiveness doesn’t mean what happened was okay, and it doesn’t mean that person should still be welcomed in your life. It just means you have made peace with the pain and are ready to let it go.

SIMPLE JOYS

If you’re in the mood for a catch-up, book in a phone call or Skype session with a friend or family member you haven’t seen for a while. It’s a great way to spend some time together without having to even get out of your pajamas.

Friendships is born at that moment when one person says to another, “What! You too? I thought I was the only one.” By C.S. Lewis

Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!

Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation . Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.

“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford

We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. WISE 🦉 WORDS

If words come from the heart, they will enter the heart. If they come from the tongue, they will not pass beyond the ears.

Until Monday, embrace uncertainty. Some of the most beautiful chapters in our lives won’t have a title until much later.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY
