THIS WEEK CONTINUING ON WE ARE DESIGNED TO SURVIVE AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.

Hello Followers,

Count down to the week-end; two more days for most.

This is the last week-end in August!

Did you know the main sources of protein and fat in the Western diet are of animal origin and thus contain cholesterol in quantities harmful to the human body?

Yes, and it is destroying our health!

Apart from the toxins so produced, the condition of the bloodstream can be seriously degraded by particles of fat and cholesterol entering the bloodstream directly from the intestine via the lymph circulation.

So much so at times that the blood appears milky red instead of crimson.

In this situation the blood's red cells stick together in bunches called rouleaux, which block the fine capillary vessels and deprive the tissues of circulation, causing the tingling sensation of pins and needles.

At the same time the blood platelets also adhere to each other and the blood plasma itself becomes sticky, so up goes the blood pressure as the heart works harder.

The white cells of the immune system become inhibited in function as well, and the entire scene becomes a set-up for disaster.

Disaster meaning every disease in the book.

No wonder people lack vitality, need a lot of sleep, catch colds and get headaches, but these are only minor signs of the troubles that lie ahead if the toxemia is allowed to persist.

More tomorrow-

AUGUST – 25th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about August that’s so significant during this month?

Kiss and Make Up Day – August 25, 2022

This day celebrates the end of a grudge.

After an argument, it’s easy not to forgive.

It’s easy to stay angry but, remember, it was Gandhi who said that only the strong can forgive, and the weak can never.

Exercise your strength by forgiving, just kiss and make up!

The holiday was created by a woman named Jacqueline Milton to re-examine old relationships and find ways to repair them.

All this is to say that today is the best day to bury the hatchet!

Kissing and making up, the two essential steps in a relationship after any disagreement or feud with any friend, family member, or your partner!

The history of kissing and the history of making up are two separate and interesting tales.

The first texts (and we mean ancient scriptures, not on your iPhone!) that mention kissing date back to 1500 B.C.

The people who wrote them lived in what we today call India.

At the time, they would frequently rub noses to express romance at some point, someone’s face slipped and the joys of kissing were discovered!

In 300 B.C. kissing spread out of India, carried by Alexander the Great’s conquering soldiers.

Soon, it was a worldwide phenomenon!

Roman missionaries were sent out across Europe to spread the word on kissing with their own lips.

They even differentiated the types of kisses back then, from the ‘osculum’ (friendship kiss) and the ‘basium’ (romantic lip-to-lip kiss) to what would later be known as the French kiss!

Kisses became an extremely important part of cultures, so much so that laws were passed around proper kissing, and kisses were sometimes used to validate contracts in the absence of writing and reading abilities.

The popularity of kissing died out in England around the 1660s, either due to restrictive church laws or the Great Plague of London.

Of course, it would become popular as a gesture of friendship again, along with the handshake.

Throughout the next few centuries, kissing became the act we know it to be today.

However, kissing was very restricted in Hollywood for much of the 20th century, though some films, like “The Kiss”, got away with it.

There have also been many famous broken feuds and grudges throughout the ages, whether or not they end in a kiss!

One well-known example is the Yorks V.S. the Lancastrians when they feuded for the English crown in the 15th century.

Eventually, the war this feud gave way to (the War of Roses) was ended when Henry IV married Elizabeth of York, thus uniting the two families with a kiss!

Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.

Today is:

THE GREATEST THING YOU’LL EVER LEARN IS JUST TO LOVE AND BE LOVED IN RETURN.

WHERE YOUR PLEASURE IS, THERE IS YOUR TREASURE. WHERE YOUR TREASURE, THERE YOUR HEART. WHERE YOUR HEART, THERE YOUR HAPPINESS.

Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.

Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.

A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 19; DANCING WITH PORCUPINES (last chapter of the book)

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE-

Let’s review some of the important points that will help you on your way.

Today, Dan and I will post the first five -

1. Few people are screwed up in all areas of their life.

That’s why their behavior is so confusing.

2. No one owes any one anything, a relationship is a gift.

3. You may be someone’s lifeline, even though it seems to you the tables should be reversed.

4. If you focus on a person’s failures, you will never see any good to encourage.

5. YOU SHOULD is one of life’s most destructive phrases.

Continue tomorrow with five more-

Today Dan and I will be continuing on the book; ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are with you at all times; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy; meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY

A RAINBOW OF COLORS

Modern fashion in decorating tends to use muted shades of colors in living space, as opposed to the primaries.

This is because muted shades feel more restful to the eye.

Bolder shades work in different surroundings, where there is a lot of dynamic activity in nature, flowers with brilliant colors; like reds and yellows, look balanced by their green leaves.

And the contrast attracts insects.

Incidentally, research shows insects can see colors beyond the human eye, into the spectrum called ultraviolet; in this light, flowers look like helicopter landing pads.

This directing the insects to land.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

WE EACH SURVIVE IN OUR OWN WAY.

One thing you have to realize from now on is that it doesn’t matter if this is a dream or not. Survival depends on what you do, not what you think.

Until Friday, one thing you have to realize from now on is that it doesn’t matter if this is a dream or not. Survival depends on what you do, not what you think.
