What we do comes out of who we believe we are.
CONTINUING ON THE SERIES; THOUGHTS AND WORDS AND LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. ALONG WITH HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
Hello Followers,
Happy Friday (TGF)! Weekend is coming, what do you have planned?
This morning thoughts were coming to me regarding the situations that our country the U.S. is going through.
Thoughts, in and of themselves, have no power.
It’s only when we actively invest our attention into them that they begin to seem real.
And when we engage with specific thoughts, we begin to feel the emotions that were triggered by these thoughts.
We enter a new emotional state which then influences how we act.
For example, if you regularly engage with the thought that you’re a failure and feed more attention to it, you’ll start to feel down, worthless, discouraged and perhaps even depressed.
How does your body react to this?
You sulk down, slump your shoulders, and project no confidence.
But if you engage with more empowering thoughts, they would boost your confidence and thus trigger a more positive emotional state which will then be reflected in how your body reacts; standing up straight, upbeat and energized.
How many are you out there are left-handers?
I raise my left hand! When I was growing up, I learned everything right-handed; which made everything I did the wrong way.
It’s time to share some words from THE LEFT-HANDER’S HANDBOOK.
WHY ARE THINGS SO TOUGH ON LEFT-HANDERS?
Did you know!
The Roman word for right was; DEXTER.
Their word for left was; SINISTER.
Is it any wonder left-handedness went out of style?
In the Dark Ages, after the Roman Empire collapsed; a lot of people gave up reading, writing, shaking hands and saluting.
And went back to being left-handed.
Once again, the tools invented in this period reflected a general ambidexterity.
QUOTES ABOUT LIVING
THOUGHTS AND WORDS
What you impress people with is in what you are impressed by in other people.
If you are impressed by kindness and generosity, that means those things are in you and you believe they are important.
Those who are impressed by displays of status, power, flash, or waving money around don’t see the value in the qualities that those actions show to be lacking in that person’s humility and gratitude.
If a person doesn’t value your good qualities, it doesn’t mean they’re not important.
They’re just not important to that person and, because of that; probably not present in them.

CONTINUING THE SERIES ON HOW SAFE IS MEXICO?
THROUGH PICTURES
Dan and I grabbed an opportunity nine years ago, when we took on the adventure and moved to Mexico. Back then, we didn’t know what to expect, except that both of us were alive and ready for a change. We had been going to Tijuana for cancer treatments and knew somewhat what we were heading into. We ended up living in the center of the country however; better for travel purposes and it was nothing like what we had thought about. To this date, we are back in the states living in Virginia and what we took from Mexico was friendships, culture and understanding of their ways of life.
WITH PICTURES
Through thousands of pictures that I took, Dan and I are showing how safe Mexico is. There is a saying ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’; this is so true! A picture tells a story just as well as, if not better than, a lot of written words.
31 PICTURES - ENJOY THE SLIDE SHOW
"Chinese proverb. One picture is worth ten thousand words."
So, we will be posting a gallery of pictures on each post, hopefully you will see each one has a story.
This is where we continue on the book: LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown. Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy. A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

Today I will continue on – CHAPTER FIVE; PULL OUT THE SPLINTERS.
MEETING OUR OWN NEEDS.
Each of us is about as happy as we decide to be.
There are no pat answers and easy-to-follow instructions that will fix an unsatisfying relationship.
But there are lifelines, guides, that keep you focused and keep you from sinking into frustration and anxiety.
It helps to know that an occasional blowup is a normal part of life
Let me caution, however; that if nagging, whining, avoidance, screaming, and put-downs are a constant part of your relationship, this is unhealthy and you should seek ways to change the patterns.
If you are unsure of the reason for the unmet expectations in your relationships, think through the answers to the following questions.
These questions will help you pinpoint the problem areas so you can address solutions.
1. Is there something specific we always fight about?
2. What is it I feel is missing?
3. Are we expecting different things from the relationship?
4. Am I helpful or reactive in trying to get to the root of the problem?
5. Is our relationship turmoil within the bounds of healthy or are problem constant, as mentioned above?
6. Are there ways to fill my needs without compromising my relationship?
7. What can I do to make myself happy where I am?
Coming to grips with the reality that happiness is an inside decision that is determined by the conscious choice to make the best of what you have will help you stop blaming others and start plugging in the holes and pulling out the splinters so that you can know real contentment.
DON’T GIVE UP.
Tomorrow, FINDING OUTSIDE SUPPORT.
This is the time to get ready for food and remedies that heal; alchemy of herbs. In the coming week, Dan and I will be blogging the benefits of SAGE. It’s amazing what and how sage can help keep your body healthy?
Before I start on some recipes with sage; it’s easy to add to your diet.
Sage comes in several forms and can be used in a variety of ways.
Fresh sage leaves have a strong aromatic flavor and are best used sparingly in dishes.
Here are some ways you can add fresh sage to your diet; sprinkle as a garnish on soups, mix into a stuffing in roast dishes, combine chopped leaves with butter to make sage butter, add chopped leaves to tomato sauce, serve it with eggs in an omelet.
Dried sage is often preferred by cooks and comes ground, rubbed or in whole leaves.
Here are some ways you can use dried sage; as a rub for meats, as a seasoning for roasted vegetables,
combined with mashed potatoes or squash for a more earthy flavor, you can also purchase sage products, such as sage tea and sage extract supplements.
Sage is incredibly versatile and easy to add to soups, stews and baked dishes. It’s available fresh, dried or ground.
LOOK out for tomorrow’s recipe; FRIED SAGE LEAVES.
NOTE AND REPEAT – PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth
THIS IS AN ENCLOSURE – will be at the end of all the blogs, for I stress; this daily routine will heal and keep your body cells happy.
As I end this blog, Dan and I for several years have shared our experiences with enjoying life while managing cancer. By keeping healthy, our routine daily has been walking (exercise), meditation (for stress), Qigong (exercise and for stress).
I know some will say they do not have enough time with work, kids and household chores!!!
Today just flew on by⁉️worked on an itinerary places to go and menus for food for when my daughter, son in law and grandson comes in a couple of weeks.👨👩👦
Before you know it, time became into evening, however; Dan and I had made time for our walking and mediation. So, we just went in circles in our complex and circled back ⭕
Dan and I have put together videos from WALK AT HOME together on our website, that you can follow in home; when you have short periods of time and unable to go out. They are from 15 mins up to 30 mins depending on the miles. This is one of the first steps to making your cells happy!!
Also, meditation videos, help to lower stress and is also one of the first steps to making your cells happy; click on https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/meditation
Again, they are no more than 10 to 20 mins and they are guided meditations.
Guided Meditation for Overthinking ~ You Are Not Your Thoughts
Overthinking can force needless thoughts and ideas on your mind.
With allusions, doubts, fears, regrets and skewed truth it can stress you out.
Neither of these qualities contribute to a happy or healthy life.
This Guided Meditation gives your insight, and makes you mindful of the bigger picture.
“Surrender is a gift that you can give yourself. It’s an act of faith. It’s saying that even though I can’t see where this river is flowing, I trust it will take me in the right direction.” ~ Debbie Ford
We are still working on Qigong video’s to be posted on the website for easy access, until now you can go to the blog https://www.thejourneytogoodhealth.com/blog and on the right-hand side are hash # tag words, just click on the word #walk #Qigong #meditation. The post will pop up and then you can begin. Have fun with it!
