When it comes to life, the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude.

Hello followers,

This is your Monday morning reminder that you can handle whatever this week throws you.

So, begin this week with knowing that your talent determines what you can do.

Your motivation determines how much you are willing to do.

Your attitude determines how well you do it.

In today’s fast-paced world, it is easy to take things for granted.

Most of us complain about mundane matters simply because we do not stop to look at all the things with which we are blessed.

Ultimately, our lives would be much better if we learned to cherish what we do have, instead of wishing for things we do not.

So, Dan and I are starting a new series, DO NOT TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED.

Yes, for some of you followers, I am turning sixty-five on the 18th and that means Medicare age.

My mind is grateful for allowing my body to continue to function and enjoy life.

Life holds one great but quite commonplace mystery.

Though shared by each of us and known to all, seldom rates a second thought.

That mystery, which most of us take for granted and never think twice about, is time.

This new year Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding, until the end.

Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.

This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.

Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!

Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.

By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.

CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; HEARING

BRAIN WAVES

Our brains also generate four types of waves, which can be measured by hertz.

1. ALPHA WAVES, 8-13 hertz. These are present when you are awake and resting with eyes closed. They disappear during sleep.

2. BETA WAVES, 14-30 hertz. These appear when you are awake and pursuing normal activity.

3. THETA WAVES, 4-7 hertz. These occur when you are under emotional stress.

4. DELTA WAVES, 1-5 hertz. These occur during sleep and states of deep relaxation.

Tomorrow, SILENCE FOR HEALING

As Dan and I start a new year; we will be posting daily 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.

The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva. (FOR MORE INFORMATION-CLICK BOOK)

January 16th

IF THERE IS SOMETHING YOU REALLY WANT, take some time to break it down into baby steps.

Ask yourself, what is one thing I can do today to get closer to my goal?

Then ask yourself that question every day.

Before you know it, you are halfway to your goal.

Remember that every action is worthy of gratitude and respect because you are choosing to do something to reach a goal instead of doing what is simple or comfortable.

The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.

We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.

If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.

Until Tuesday, we more often see the things around us; even the beautiful and wonderful things, the more they become invisible to us. That is why we often take for granted the beauty of this world; the flowers, the trees, the birds, the clouds, and even those we love.

Because we see things so often, we see them less and less.
