When reality and your dreams collide, typically it's just your alarm clock going off.
CONTINUING ON THE NEW SERIES, DON’T LET YOUR ALARM CLOCK, BE THE ONLY REASON YOU WAKE UP AND ON LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE. PLUS, THE HERBS – ASTRAGALUS.
Hello Followers,
Happy Hump Day!
Okay, let’s continue on what we started to blog on yesterday; learning to live life to the fullest which is an important step in making the most of every day.
How many are afraid to take risks?
I go through spells, but then realize the only thing that could go wrong is my ego.
So, sometimes we have to take more risks.
Sometimes there’s danger involved in life, but every reward carries risk with it.
If you never take risks, you’ll never get anywhere in life, and you certainly won’t learn how to live life to the fullest.
Staying in your comfort zone is the fastest way to become discontent.
Without stepping outside what you’re already comfortable with, you will cease to learn and stagnate in both your personal and professional life.
While it may feel uncomfortable, taking a risk can be as simple as saying yes next time your friends want to go out instead of staying at home alone.
It can mean going out and buying plane tickets to a new city, or dragging out those paints that have been stuffed away for years.
That last paragraph reminds me of last year, Dan had a pair of bell bottoms from when he was in his 20’s.
Yes, he kept them and they were in our storage unit for 7 years, while we were living in Mexico.
Well, last year; he tried them on!
Guess what, they fit.
So, anything is possible!
When people look back on their lives, they regret the chances they didn’t take more than the ones they did, so find something new to try today.
Set goals beyond what you currently believe possible.
It’s JULY – 6th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about July that’s so significant during this month?
International Kissing Day – July 6, 2022
No matter which type of kiss you prefer, International Kissing Day is the perfect time of year to celebrate this simple but powerful gesture.
From French kissing and a formal kiss on the cheek, to a kiss hello and a kiss goodbye.
Kissing is an age-old practice with significance that extends far beyond just romance.
If we go back in time, we can thank the Romans for the widespread practice of kissing in Europe.
hey described kissing in three forms: the osculum, a friendly peck on the cheek.
The basium, a loving kiss on the lips.
The savium, the most passionate of kisses on the mouth.
In Roman society, when, where, and how you kissed someone was an important indicator of social status.
The term “French kiss” was most likely coined by American and British servicemen in France during World War I who noticed that Gallic women were more open to employing the passionate technique than their American and British counterparts.
So even though the French were clearly not the first people to engage in “French kissing”, it seems only right that they were given credit for it due to the amorous enthusiasms of French lovers a century ago.
Interestingly enough, the French actually didn’t have a specific word for the famous mouth on mouth until recently.
The verb galocher, defined as kissing with tongues, was added to a popular yet unofficial French dictionary, Le Petit Robert, in 2014.
Nowadays, French kissing is so popular that a team of Japanese researchers recently invented a French kissing machine, in which couples that are separated are able to connect via straw-like devices that work through a computer.
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
Today is:
THE BEST WAY FOR A PERSON TO HAVE HAPPY THOUGHTS IS TO COUNT THEIR BLESSINGS AND NOT THEIR CASH. HAPPINESS MAKES UP IN HEIGHT FOR WHAT IT LACKS IN LENGTH.
Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.
Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.
A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 17; WHEN YOU WANT TO HELP
IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TO BE DIFFERENT, YOU MUST DO SOMETHING DIFFERENTLY-
HELPING TO PROTECT
It is in appropriate to try to protect everyone from every problem or to correct every mistake.
A priest wisely said, I used to defend my flock from the wolves, until I learned that they were looking to others to stand up for them, rather than standing up for themselves.
I now back off and let them take the heat, unless it is heavily unbalanced.
How else are they going to learn to handle difficult people and know what it feels like if they do likewise to others?
Is the relationship heavily unbalanced
Do what you can.
You can’t stop the potential future dangers, but who knows what a soft, caring word might prevent.
Especially if you can be there for the long haul.
Continue tomorrow, TOUGH ON THE HEART-
Continuing on the herb; ASTRAGALUS and the benefits, It’s the last herb from the book ALCHEMY OF HERBS by Rosalee De La Foret.
Astragalus has such a mildly sweet flavor.
Did you know that astragalus protects the cardiovascular system?
Well!
The flavonoids present in astragalus are antioxidants that help prevent plaque buildup in arteries and narrowing of vessel walls by protecting the inner wall of the vessel.
In addition, a 2014 study published in the Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine suggests injection of astragalus, combined with conventional treatment for viral myocarditis, inflammation of the middle layer of the heart wall; makes treatment more successful in heart conditions.
Other studies have shown its ability to reduce blood pressure and level of triglycerides.
High levels of triglycerides put individuals at risk for many forms of heart disease, such as stroke, heart attack and hardening of artery walls.
During a heart attack, heart muscle damage occurs when there is a lack of blood supply and oxygen.
At that time, calcium overload creates secondary damage.
Astragalus may prevent additional heart muscle damage by regulating calcium homeostasis in the heart.
The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
Yesterday Dan and I needed to do our daily walk, what better place, but to the county fair no entrance fee.
28 PICTURES OF THE COUNTY FAIR IN SALEM, VIRGINA / ENJOY.
Along the walk, we visited the animals and even got a show in that was on America Got Talent.
A dog show!
REALLY AND DREAMS COLLIDE -
When reality and your dreams collide, typically it's just your alarm clock going off. #reality#dreams#collide#typically#alarmclock#goingoff#going#livelifetothefullest#inspirational
Until Thursday, such decline is an alarming symptom of our state of mind. Mankind will not perish for want of information; but only for want of appreciation.
