When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.
Hello followers,
Welcome to Thursday!
As Dan and I continue the series on how important it is to nourish your soul to keep your life balanced, eat clean.
Yes, there is a connection between your soul and your body.
In fact, the Trivedi Effect says that the mind, body, and soul work in conjunction to find balance in our lives.
Thus, when we care for our bodies, we can have more space in our lives and time to care for the health of our soul.
Being mindful of what we put into our bodies, or how we feed or nourish our body, is essential to this concept.
Focus on whole foods, primarily fruits, vegetables, nuts, and fish that come directly out of the earth.
When something has been processed and packaged, it not only loses much of its nutritional value, but it often is packed with preservatives and chemicals that are harmful to our bodies.
It is amazing how much more energy you have and how much your mood will improve, simply by eating whole, clean foods.
As you learn to eat clean also meditate on gratitude!
Meditation is a powerful practice in self-awareness.
The goal is not to silence your thoughts.
Rather, it is to become an active observer of them.
The process of meditation is all about allowing the mind to do its thing and accept it as it is.
I have always struggled with meditation.
Sitting in silence for long periods of time is not my cup of tea.
However, once I started combining meditation with gratitude, the game changed.
I began the process of transforming my inner and outer world.
Today, meditation has now become a non-negotiable ritual in Dan’s and my life.
Through meditation, we can build up areas of our brain and rewire it to enhance positive traits like focus and decision making and diminish the less positive ones like fear and stress.
When you master the mind, you master your emotions.
Suddenly, everything in your life flows with more ease.
You become less reactive and are better able to handle life’s challenges with grace.
The beauty of a gratitude meditation is that you can practice it anywhere.
Take a few minutes out of your busy schedule each day to reflect upon the things and people whom you are grateful for.
Watch your mood change instantly.
It is powerful.
This new year Dan and I will be continuing the book, Ten-Minute Relaxation, For Mind and Body by Jennie Harding, until the end.
Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.
This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.
Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!
Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.
By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.
CHAPTER 3; INTUITION/SIX SENSE
SENSORY CREATIVITY
If you feel you do not know how to be creative and what that actually means, you can use your senses to guide you into exploring your own world in a new and fun way.
This has the effect of bringing qualities of joy, fun, and lightness into your experience; you tend to find that daily stresses are dissolved in the excitement of finding out new things.
Much of our stress is linked to boredom, to the fact that our lives seem to be full of endless tasks that demand our energy, but do not reward us personally.
Getting in touch with your own unique creative energy can change all that.
As Dan and I start a new year; we will be posting daily 365 morning meditations for joyful days all year long.
The book is SUNRISE GRATITUDE by Emily Silva.
February 2nd
WANTING MORE THAN WHAT YOU HAVE causes anxiety, feelings of inadequacy, and invites thoughts of scarcity into your mind.
When we operate from a place of contentment, we feel abundant and joyful.
Everything you need is on its way to you.
What you have right now is exactly what you need.
Our deepest desires are heard and sometimes we get the answer of not right now.
Trust that answers and the timing in your life.
Your needs will be provided.
The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
We stand by this and continue to do daily; walk, meditation, and Qigong.
If you would like to follow with us; hash tag words #walk, #meditation #Qigong on the right of the main blog page.
Until Friday, gratitude opens the door to the power, the wisdom, the creativity of the universe.
You open the door through gratitude.
