When you find your WHY, you do not hit snooze no more! You find a way to make it happen!
THIS WEEK CONTINUING ON, WHAT IS LIFE ABOUT AND WHAT IS THE MEANING OF LIFE? AND WHY DO WE EXIST? PLUS, CONTINUING ON THE BOOK TEN-MINUTE RELAXATION FOR MIND AND BODY.
Hello followers,
It is Monday!
As Dan and I begin our week, it is time to reflect on keeping positive for the new week ahead.
Feeling so positive, for Saturday we decided to go to our favorite organic fast-food place and pick up two salads.
Dan had on his phone the app, which had a coupon for two salads for $6.00 dollars apiece: normally $10.00.
Moving along, as we were paying for them, the manager said it is free.
What!
No???
Yes, the people before us, left their credit card for the manager to ring out our order.
Nevertheless, Dan and I was in shock.
I asked him where were the ones that had been so generous, and he pointed to the couple.
We went over to them and asked if I could hug them, for I never had this happen to me before.
With everything going on in this world today, there they were making a positive impact.
So, this week go out and have influence.
Oh, and Autumn arrives in 4 days!
So, let us begin as Dan and I have been blogging about our experiences with alternative treatments for cancer and the after care of keeping healthy; have taken it one step farther by adding a fundamental part of why we exist.
Last week started to blog on the properties of life, characteristic traits.
Dan and I posted three characteristic traits: organization, metabolism, and homeostasis.
Today we will be exploring the fourth trait, Growth-
Living organisms undergo regulated growth.
Individual cells become larger in size, and multicellular organisms accumulate many cells through cell division.
You yourself started out as a single cell and now have tens of trillions of cells in your body.
Growth depends on anabolic pathways that build large, complex molecules such as proteins and DNA, the genetic material.
Until tomorrow, Reproduction-
In combining our physical and mental functions, we can control our bodies and keep them healthy.
It took me a long time to realize this for myself.
Hopefully, this will help you, our followers.
So, let us discuss one of the seven life multipliers, that Dan and I had been posting on.
Last week we posted, self-empowerment and self-control.
So today it will be, Renewable Vitality-
A person with renewable vitality is physically fit and healthy.
They exercise regularly, eat well, and know how to look after themselves.
Tomorrow four life multiplier, Emotion Mastery-
SEPTEMBER – 19th, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about September that is so significant during this month?
Respect for the Aged Day – September 19, 2022
Our elders are our link to the past and what better way is there to honor them than on Respect for the Aged Day, celebrated on the third Monday in September, on September 19 this year?
It is a Japanese festival celebrated on the third Monday of September of each year.
It is a national holiday in Japan on which people celebrate by spending time with their elderly relatives and friends.
This holiday’s story begins right after World War II, when a small town called Nomatanimura (now renamed Yachiyocho), in the Hyōgo Prefecture in Japan, ordained that September 15 be known as ‘Old Folks’ Day’ or Toshiyori no Hi.
The mayor of that town, Masao Sadowski, believed that people should look up to their elders (those fifty-five and over) for guidance after the chaos and hardship of the war.
The reasons for choosing this date vary.
Some legends say that the Yoro Falls in Japan miraculously cured a young man’s father around this exact period.
While others say this date was selected because a legendary regent named Prince Shotoku established a home for the aged, which was, in turn, named after a god who was born on this date.
Over the years, this local celebration gained popularity around Japan.
Being renamed Keiro no Hi, and reached its peak status over two decades later, when it was designated as a national holiday.
The actual date to honor the aged changed when Japan introduced a system known as the Happy Monday System.
This was a bid to provide more three-day weekends to regular 9-5, Monday-Friday workers by moving public holidays to Mondays.
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
Today is:
THE MOMENTS OF HAPPINESS WE ENJOY TAKE US BY SURPRISE. IT IS NOT THAT WE SEIZE THEM, BUT THAT THEY SEIZE US.
Today Dan and I will be continuing the book, ten-minute relaxation, For mind and body by Jennie Harding.
Whenever you are feeling under pressure, ten minutes is all you need to relax totally, using tools that are always with you; your senses.
This book is packed full of wonderfully simple ideas and exercises for using sight, taste, smell, hearing, and touch and that vital sixth sense of intuition to rebalance your energies and bring you back into harmony with the natural world around you.
Identify your favorite sensory relaxation solutions and combat that stress!
Per Dan and my experience this is another component in keeping ourselves healthy, meditation.
By using your five senses, you can learn to relax in just ten minutes.
CHAPTER 2; THE SENSORY JOURNEY; TASTE-
KEEPING AN INTERNAL BALANCE-
The average western diet tends to be 70-80% acid-forming foods and 20% alkaline.
In fact, this should really be reversed.
It is much more alkalinizing, calming to our digestive system to eat a larger proportion; approximately 70% of alkaline-forming foods and a smaller number of acid-forming foods at 30%.
This still provides plenty of protein found in meat, eggs, and beans.
Deep breathing and relaxation alkalinize or calms the system.
Elevated levels of physical activity and mental stress acidify or stimulates the system.
Depending on your lifestyle, it is important to think about the types of food you are eating.
For example, if you are stressed and consuming a high amount of acid-forming food; this can lead to overacidity and high toxin levels.
Thus, you need to try to eat a higher proportion of alkaline foods like fruits, salads, and vegetables.
Also drink more neutral water.
Tomorrow, EFFECTS OF FOOD GROUPS ON THE BODY-
As I ponder over all that I have learned, I have come to the findings that we all have our own blueprint.
Our bodies are precious and there are many components in taking care of them.
Throughout the blog, Dan and I have related the separate ways through body, heart, and soul.
It is all about power of knowledge and learning to take care of yourself, keeping your cells happy.
Our immune system is one of the key factors in keeping healthy.
It is important to know how it works!
Germs and Viruses????
The principles of human survival are simple enough but because it seems to be human nature to suspect anything simple.
We have managed to weave so many complicated theories about human disease.
Human nutrition and the unique attraction humans have for germs and viruses that we cannot see the forest for the trees.
Physiologically, humans are not unique at all, and but for the lifestyle errors they have themselves invented they would have no more reason to fear germs than a scruffy dog gnawing at a dirty old bone.
To understand better the natural relationship between germs and viruses and other forms of life, we must examine the fundamental principles that govern all forms of life on Earth.
The first principle is that of symbiosis or coexistence, which states that all forms of life are one way or another dependent on each other, together forming what is known as the web of life.
Continue tomorrow.
The PHRASE TO REMEMBER; Health is Wealth.
