Hello Followers,
How has your week-end been!
Yesterday, Dan and I went to this picnic area that we found near our house last week.
It’s in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We love it, for it’s a good walking area and is quite shady and cool while being among all the tall trees.
While we were there this time, from a distance we heard a wood pecker; pecking.
These simple moments are stepping stones leading us to bigger milestones.
So, today we will be exploring how to be SMART about it?
Once you know where you stand and where you want to be, you’re ready to plot some waypoints for yourself.
Define milestones just as you do your big-picture goals, with the SMART system.
Milestones should be; specific!
To be meaningful, milestones need to be carved out precisely.
If you’re trying to get fit, what does that mean to you?
Would you like to lose a certain amount of weight?
Build muscle?
Overhaul your diet?
All of these might be milestones toward your goal.
Take into consideration these things while setting your milestones:
· Measurable, to stay on track.
· Relevant, milestones have to make sense in the context of your larger goal to be worth setting. If you can’t explain how your milestone actually gets you closer to that goal, set a different one.
· Time-Bounded, when do you expect to reach your milestone? Is it an hour away? A whole year? Any time horizon is fine, so long as it’s factored into the milestone you set. Remember that milestones must be achievable.
It’s the 26th day of June, Dan and I thought on continuing this segment with the series with some fun; What is it about June that’s so significant during this month?
Canoe Day – June 26, 2022
National Canoe Day is celebrated on this day every year.
Though it is a Canadian holiday, it’s celebrated in the U.S. as well.
Canoeing is both a sport and a recreational activity, one that’s relaxing and good for the environment.
Wherever there is water, there are canoeists.
On National Canoe Day thousands visit their favorite waterways, exploring their lakes and rivers or participating in competitive aquatic events.
Canoeing is a fun activity that’s easy to learn and friendly to people across different age groups.
It’s also a low-impact form of exercise, so it’s good for your health too.
Canoes have been around for millennia and used by different cultures and civilizations throughout the ages.
The oldest canoe in existence dates back to 8000 B.C.
It was carved out by hand with basic flintstone tools from the hollowed-out trunk of a pine tree.
Canoes predate the arrival of Europeans on the American continent.
They were widely used as a method of transport, catching food, trading items, and even in warfare.
Where we live in Virginia, as we walk along the river; Dan and I always see people in canoes or tubes streaming down.

A father’s love and nurture are just as important as a mother’s love and nurture for a child’s happiness, well-being, and social and milestones.
Listing your personal milestones is like storing a pocketful of sunshine for a rainy day.
Better things are waiting ahead of us than those we leave behind, like more milestones.
Each milestone is marked by a moment of pride and celebrating.
Are you going to let the obstacles in your life be stumbling blocks or stepping stones? Or are you going to make them milestones!
The best way to treat obstacles is to use them as stepping-stones. Laugh at them, tread on them, and let them lead you to something better like milestones.
Use missteps as stepping stones to deeper understanding and greater achievement.
Time is precious and is priceless, so Dan and I will continue each day to pull from a box of 365 inspirational quotes; one quote and share with you.
Today is:
JOY DOES NOT SIMPLY HAPPEN TO US. WE HAVE TO CHOOSE JOY AND KEEP CHOOSING IT EVERY DAY.
Continuing from last year the series on LIVING SUCCESSFULLY WITH SCREWED-UP PEOPLE, by Elizabeth B. Brown.
Dan and I continue to share ways to benefit and help keep one’s health cells healthy.
A wise man told me ten years ago, when one is in balance with themselves; one stays healthy.

CHAPTER 17; WHEN YOU WANT TO HELP
WHEN IS HELP -HELP?
Listening helps to validate emotions and allows steam to vent.
Faith assures you God has a purpose.
But unless you appreciate what is going on in your emotions and how they affect your chemicals, your thoughts process, your ability to sleep, your physical health, you will not recognize the crucial steps needed to move through the emotions that follow any difficulty.
The confusion will feel like failure, failure to stand, to feel at peace, to overcome.
Find someone who will listen but then will guide you through the grief process, not someone who tells you how to get through the maze or criticizes your efforts.
You need education about what is happening to your emotions and how choices affect the long term.
Difficult relationship, people, and challenges prevent you from seeing the light through the trees.
Your need is for someone who points the direction, even as they encourage you to listen for God’s still, small whispers.
This week Dan and I have been blogging on the herb; ASHWAGANDHA and the benefits.
It’s amazing what and how ashwagandha can help keep your body healthy?
